My work on your wall
From 22 to 25 May, Weesp hosts its 29th edition of Weespers aan de Wand — a long-running open studio and exhibition event spread across the city, with more than 65 artists taking part. This year it falls over Pentecost weekend.
I'm part of it, though in a different way this year. I'm not exhibiting myself, but I was involved in the art direction for the festival's visual identity, together with graphic designer Dirk van Sommeren. And I donated a work — that's the first prize in the stamp card draw.
Here's how it works: the foundation has teamed up with Museum Weesp to run a stamp card with a prize draw. Visit all the locations, collect your stamps, and hand in your completed card. Second prize is two tickets to Museum Weesp plus a surprise package. The museum is free to visit during Weespers aan de Wand opening hours.
The opening is Friday 22 May at 16:00 at the Van Houtenkerk. After that, hours are Friday 17:00–20:00, and Saturday, Sunday and Monday 11:30–17:30. A free shuttle bus runs from Het Grote Plein.
